Tyler Perry gave a remarkable gift to one of his co-stars whom he worked with nearly 20 years ago.
Perry met gospel singer LaShun Pace back in 1999 when the two were working on a play he wrote and co-produced. According to TMZ, the actor-director-writer recently dropped $350,000 on a house for Pace’s mom, Bettie.
After learning the woman had fallen ill and her dying wish was to own a home large enough for her entire family, Perry stepped up and bought a property in Atlanta, close to where the Pace family was born and raised.
“Now you see what happens when you just live right and become Tyler Perry’s friend,” Pace says in an online video as the family hosts a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new property.
Perry kept in touch with the family over the years, even including a song by the Pace family’s gospel group in his movie, “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion”.
