The #BabySharkChallenge was kicked up a notch on Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Late Show with James Corden”.
“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner was carried into the studio by two men in tuxedos to perform a classy piano cover of “Baby Shark Dance” with Corden.
For the uninitiated, “Baby Shark Dance” is a viral, animated, nursery music video starring two adorable children.
If Turner, 22, and Corden, 40, aren’t enough to satisfy your unrealistic standards, talented singer-songwriter Josh Groban also entered the fray.
Elsewhere on the show, Corden brought up Turner’s engagement to the “deliciously wonderful Joe Jonas.” This prompted the upcoming “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” star to share a hilarious story of the time Jonas introduced her to Justin Bieber.
“I’ve always loved Justin Bieber and I met him once, well, twice now. I don’t want to brag but I’m kind of in love with Justin Bieber,” she told Corden.
The actress and her DNCE frontman-fiance were getting a tour of a house in Miami. Turner walked upstairs only to find the “One Less Lonely Girl” singer. “I got up there and he’s sat there shirtless in this dark room getting a head massage and I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing!’ So I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, Sophie.’ I ran into the closet and cried for five minutes,” she said.
Later that day, “I came out with Joe, and Justin goes to Joe, ‘Yo, Joe, I heard you got a new girl.’ And Joe was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, she’s over there.'” For some reason, Turner decided to make some strange gesture with her fingers and tongue to Bieber and Jonas. One she replicated on “The Late Late Show”.
“Wow, of all the things that I thought you were going to say that you did, that wasn’t it,” Corden said, mimicking the obscene gesture.
Needless to say, Jonas has never let Turner forget about the awkward exchange.
