Seth Rogen’s new comedy “Black Monday” is getting a teaser that gives away little about the plot, but does a whole lot to set the tone.
“Black Monday” is set in 1987 during the worst stock market crash in Wall Street history. The series explores the “group of outsiders” responsible for obliterating the world’s largest financial system.
Canadian funnyman Rogen also co-directed the series. “I’m thrilled to have produced and co-directed #BlackMonday,” he tweeted Friday. “1986 is coming back soon.”
Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall star in the new Showtime series from executive producers Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
“Black Monday” crashes into Showtime in January.
