Serena Williams has just released a daring new video in which the 37-year-old tennis phenom goes topless — for an extremely good cause. In the video posted on Saturday, bare-chested Williams covers her breasts with her hands while singing a slow, sultry rendition of The Divinyls’ 1990 hit “I Touch Myself” in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The video was produced by the I Touch Myself Project, launched in 2014 by bra manufacturer Berlei in honour of Divinyls singer Chrissy Amphlett, who passed away from breast cancer at age 53 in 2014.

The goal of the video, writes Williams in an Instagram post, is to remind women to self-check themselves regularly.

“Yes, this put me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it’s an issue that affects all women of all colours, all around the world,” writes Williams. “Early detection is key — it saves so many lives. I just hope this helps to remind women of that.”
