Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman stopped by “The Tonight Show” on Monday to talk about their first co-written book, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told: An Oral History, which debuts Tuesday.
The famous comedy couple chatted to host Jimmy Fallon about the book, which Mullally explained is comprised of real conversations she and Offerman had while sitting in bed. The book gives readers a humorous glimpse into the pair’s 15-year marriage.
Mullally, who is set to reprise her role as Karen Walker in Season 2 of the “Will & Grace” revival, also designed all the photos featured in the book. Fallon showed off a selection of these hilarious images which feature Mullally and Offerman dressed in ridiculous outfits.
The couple then treated the audience to a live reading from the book’s introduction, which includes some necessary warnings from Offerman. “If you are wearing a hat, go ahead and remove it because it’s guaranteed to fly off by chapter three,” the former “Parks & Recreation” star warned.
Speaking about their relationship on “Good Morning America” on Monday, Mullally said, “It’s one thing to be in love and love someone, and it’s another thing to like them. And I just really like [Offerman].”
“I like listening to him talk. I think he’s funny; I think he’s interesting; and he’s a great person. He’s a great man. He treats me like a queen, he does.”
Offerman and Mullally celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
