A group of musicians will be banding together to pay tribute to Mac Miller, who tragically passed away last month at age 26 of a suspected overdose.
Associated Press is reporting that John Mayer, Chance the Rapper, SZA, Travis Scott, Miguel and Ty Dolla $ign have all signed on to headline a special concert in honour of the late rapper, according to an announcement from Live Nation.
“Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life” will take place at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, with tickets to go on sale Friday. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mac Miller Circles Fund, set up to “provide programming, resources and opportunities to youth from underserved communities, helping them recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building.”
Other artists scheduled to perform on the bill include ScHoolboy Q, Anderson .Paak, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples and Action Bronson.
“The support we’ve experienced is evident in this amazing lineup and is a testament to Malcolm’s incredible life,” said Karen Meyers, Miller’s mother, in a statement.
