Donald Trump showcases his Christine Blasey Ford impression.
The President of the United States lent his support to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at the expense of the woman who is accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
“I don’t know. I don’t know. What neighbourhood was it? I don’t know. Where’s the house? I don’t know. Upstairs? Downstairs? Where was it — I don’t know,” Trump mimicked Ford at a rally in Mississipi on Tuesday. “But I had one beer, that’s the only thing I remember.”
Ford recently testified against Kavanaugh in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, accusing Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a high school party decades ago. Kavanaugh also testified at the hearing.
During his speech, Trump implied Ford belongs to a “really evil people” intent on damaging the reputation of others.
The pro-Trump crowd generally seemed to enjoy the President’s foray into acting. People on Twitter, not so much.
