Jon Favreau has some juicy new details about his latest project.
The “Jungle Book” and “The Lion King” filmmaker shows no signs of slowing down as he crafts a new live-action series for Disney’s streaming service.

“The Mandalorian” depicts the warrior race Jango Fett and Boba Fett represent.
“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the ‘Star Wars’ universe,” Favreau shared Wednesday on Instagram.

“‘The Mandalorian’ is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order,” he elaborated. “We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”
Disney’s new streaming service will also feature a collection of Pixar and Marvel movies.
