Brooks Koepka is looking to quell rumours of any kind of feud between he and Team USA teammate Dustin Johnson.

“This Dustin thing I don’t get,” the golfer said at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. “There was no fight. There was no argument.”

Koepka’s comments came after reports earlier this week that the two had to be separated at a Ryder Cup party on Sunday where, as Golf Digest reported, witnesses said the two had a nasty spat that involved Johnson’s fiancee Paulina Gretzky.

It was then reported the two had also fought the week before on the team’s plane.

Koepka, however, maintains the reports are completely false.

“He is one of my best friends. I love the kid to death,” he said of Johnson. “We talked on the phone Monday and yesterday. So tell me how we fought. I don’t know.

“It’s actually quite funny to us. How could we get into a fight on the flight over?” Koepka added. “We were sleeping. It’s just laughable. I’d actually be curious to see who would win that fight, though. It would be interesting.”

According to Yahoo! Sports, the alleged fight was said to be caused by Johnson feeling that Koepka and Gretzky were getting too close.

Gretzky sparked rumours last week of a split with Johnson after she deleted all pictures of him from her Instagram account, though they later appeared together at the Ryder Cup.
