Drake is all about the multiculturalism.
The “God’s Plan” rapper made a surprise appearance at the ceremonial weigh-ins for UFC 229.
Saturday’s pay-per-view serves as one of the UFC’s biggest all-time cards headlined by undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former two-division champion Conor McGregor.
Drizzy, 31, showed he was firmly on team McGregor, 30, by wearing the Irish flag as he escorted “The Notorious” one to the scale.
This is not the first time Drake and McGregor have rubbed shoulders. The Canadian rapper handled introduction duties during the Toronto portion of the McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather world tour press conference.
The crowded weigh-in ended with a little drama. The two fighters approached one another for a traditional pre-fight face-off with UFC President Dana White serving as a peacekeeper. Rules are in place that forbids fighters from laying hands on each other during the staredown.
That did not stop McGregor from forcefully slapping down Nurmagomedov’s hands. The two parties were further separated, but McGregor attempted to kick his opponent for good measure.
UFC 229 takes place Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
