When John Cena entered the ring on Friday for the WWE Super Show-Down, he showed off a new hairstyle unlike anything we’ve seen on him before.
Cena, 41, has sported ultra-short, close-cropped hair for years, but Friday’s event saw the wrestler-turned-actor wearing his hair far longer than usual for his tag-team match, in which he and partner Bobby Lashley took on Elias and KO.
According to Metro, one theory about Cena’s new ‘do is that he grew his hair out for his upcoming film “Project X” after news emerged that Cena is replacing original star Sylvester Stallone in the action thriller that also features Jackie Chan.
Regardless of the reason behind his longer locks, fans on Twitter weren’t quite sure what to make of it.
Meanwhile, some fans thought Cena’s longer hair made him look like the spitting image of former WWE champ JBL (a.k.a. John “Bradshaw” Layfield):
