James Corden has another hosting gig to add to his resume: the new talent competition, “World’s Best”.
The late-night talk show host, 40, will be joined by an A-list panel of judges consisting of RuPaul Charles, Faith Hill, and Drew Barrymore.
Set to premiere in 2019, the upcoming reality series will search to find the “world’s best” in talent. Not only will the competitors have to impress the judges, they will also have to compete against the “wall of the world” featuring the industry’s 50 most accomplished experts from each category.
Corden will also executive produce.
“We feel incredibly lucky that James Corden agreed to be part of this groundbreaking global event competition. He’s an absolute force of nature, and his versatility, passion and showmanship are unrivaled,” said Mike Darnell, president of Warner Bros.’s unscripted & alternative television department, in a statement. “The very name of the show defined the caliber of judges we sought out and ultimately got. Drew, RuPaul and Faith are incredibly accomplished superstars whose talents encompass every area of entertainment. Along with James, ‘The World’s Best’ will now be the gold standard of competition shows.”
A 10-episode season of the competition series will air in the new year.
