New Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in for a second time on Monday night during a ceremony televised on primetime television, and Jimmy Kimmel had a few words to say about it during his “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” monologue later that night.

According to Deadline, Kimmel joked that Trump is “flying extra high today after the confirmation of beer-battered Brett Kavanaugh, who is now on the United States Supreme Court despite all of the stuff you know about.”

Pointing out that Kavanaugh’s confirmation was approved by the smallest margin of any Supreme Court Justice since 1881, Kimmel referenced the widespread protests that ensued.

“Trump called the protests ‘phony stuff’ and even gave a special shout-out to the FBI’s so-called investigation of Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault accusation against Kavanaugh,” he said. “Wait, is this the same FBI that’s doing the ‘witch hunt’? Because I thought they were… oh, never mind, nothing means anything anymore.”

Kimmel had some choice words about Trump’s performance during Monday’s televised ceremony, especially when the president proclaimed that Kavanaugh had been “proven innocent” of Dr. Ford’s assault allegation.

“First of all, no, he wasn’t,” declared Kimmel. “He was not ‘proven’ innocent. And second, Donald Trump, isn’t he the guy who has everyone chanting ‘Lock her up! Lock her up’? Oh boy! The Washington Monument is like a big middle finger now.”

Meanwhile, on social media, Kimmel sent some love to his neighbours to the north in celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving:
