In the second adaptation of the horror novel, “Pet Sematary” follows Louis Creed, played by Jason Clarke, his wife Rachel, and their two children Gage and Ellie as they move into a rural home.

The family later learns about the eerie “pet sematary”, which is located not far from their backyard.

After the family cat is tragically killed by a truck, Louis resorts to burying it in the mysterious “pet sematary”. The family later learns that not everything is as it seems, proving that sometimes, dead is better.

The first film adaptation of the novel was released in 1989, and was more of a campy-horror film. But as stated by the film’s screenwriter Jeff Buhler, the 2019 version will be “the scariest Stephen King adaptation ever.”

“Pet Sematary” also stars John Lithgow and Amy Seimetz and is set to hit theatres in April 2019.
