Jack White may be in the middle of a world tour but he’s still celebrating his mom’s 88th birthday.
The rocker brought his mom, Teresa Gillis, on stage with him during a concert stop in Warsaw, Poland, his mother’s homeland. Gillis was treated to the Polish birthday song “Sto lat” by her 43-year-old son and the crowd.
Though White has a strict no-phone policy at his shows, he shared a sweet snap of his mom on stage with him on Instagram.
It’s not the first time White has invited his mom on stage with him. Earlier this year, Gillis joined White on stage to sing the White Stripes song “Hotel Yorba” with him during a concert stop on Detroit. White added a Polish twist to the song to once again honour his mother’s heritage.
White is currently in the middle of the European leg of his tour in support of his latest effort Boarding House Reach and is set to return for more North American dates this fall before reuniting with his other band, the Raconteurs, for their first album in 10 years.
