Melania Trump claims she’s one of the “most bullied” people in the world while chatting with ABC News’ Tom Llamas in a new interview for “Good Morning America”.
The 48-year-old, who married Donald Trump in 2005, speaks to Llamas about her anti-bullying initiative “Be Best” during her first international solo trip to Africa.
Trump explains, “I could say I’m the most bullied person [in] the world.”
As Llamas then questions her statement, the first lady insists: “One of them, if you really see what people are saying about me.”
She adds of her initiative, “We need to educate the children of social-emotional behaviour, so when they grow up, they know how to deal with those issues. That’s very important.”
Trump also addresses the #MeToo movement, insisting the public need to show the same amount of respect for the men being accused of sexual assault as they do the women.
“We need to have really hard evidence that if you’re accused of something, show the evidence,” says the former model. “I do stand with women but we need to show the evidence. You cannot just say to somebody, ‘I was sexually assaulted,’ or ‘You did that to me,’ because, sometimes, the media goes too far and the way they portray some stories, it’s not correct. It’s not right.”
