Shawn Mendes is declaring that he will, he will rock you — with a brand-new cover of the classic Queen-David Bowie collaboration “Under Pressure”.

The new track, which dropped on Thursday, features Mendes teaming up with pal Teddy Geiger for a stripped-down acoustic cover of the toe-tapping, finger-snapping 1981 hit.

Mendes unveiled the song on social media, tweeting that the track was recorded for the soundtrack of the upcoming Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody”, with Mendes and Geiger paying tribute to the band’s late frontman Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991.

Proceeds from the song, Mendes writes, will be donated to “a cause really close to our hearts, to benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust in the fight against HIV / AIDS. Hope you love it.”

“Bohemian Rhapsody”, starring Rami Malek (“Mr. Robot”) as Mercury, is slated to hit theatres on Oct. 24.
