Christina Jennings is considered one of Canada’s most accomplished and powerful producers, bringing hit shows like “Murdoch Mysteries”; to the small screen.

“Into the restaurant came filmmakers, and they had such passion, and I thought, “You know what? I think I like this group of people,'”; Jennings tells ET Canada. “So I inserted myself, and I said “I can help you, I have business skills and that’s how it all started.'”;
But back in 1987, when Jennings launched Shaftesbury Films, not only was she a woman in a man’s world, she had zero experience running a production company.
“Someone did tell me I was crazy early on,”; she reveals. “(But), for me, it was a new career, and I was excited and passionate and so I didn’t have any cynicism.”;
She says she got that passion for production while running a restaurant with her brother of all things.
