Melania Trump faced some hard questions about her husband’s behaviour with other women this week.
In an interview with ABC News, the first lady was asked about allegations of Donald Trump’s infidelities.
“It is not a concern and focus of mine,” she said. “I’m a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do.
“I know people like to speculate and media like to speculate about our marriage.”
Asked whether the speculation has been hurtful to her, Melania said, “Yeah, it’s not always pleasant, of course. But I know what is right and what is wrong, and what is true and not true.”
Melania was also pressed on a statement Donald’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani made in June on behalf of the first lady regarding the Stormy Daniels scandal, that she “believes her husband, and she knows it’s untrue.”
She responded, “I never talked to Mr. Giuliani,” and when asked why he made that statement she said, “I don’t know. You need to ask him.”
As for her marriage, Melania said it is “fine” and that media speculation is “not always correct.”
