Little Mix Team Up With Nicki Minaj For New Single ‘Woman Like Me’

Little Mix are back with another pop anthem and this time have joined forces with Nicki Minaj for ultimate girl-power vibes.

Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson have been teasing new music for the past couple of months and now have finally unveiled their new single, “Woman Like Me”, which will feature on their upcoming fifth studio album.

“I made a few mistakes, I regret it nightly / I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve / My mama always said “Girl, you’re troubling” / And now I wonder, could you fall for a woman like me?” the girls sing in the upbeat reggae-tinged track.

Minaj comes in towards the end of the song to deliver a beautifully brash verse. “It’s the Queen and Little Mix, skated on, I’m sorry / My daddy is Indian, swish, all this curry,” the “FEFE” hitmaker raps.

In the track’s fourth verse, Pinnock drops a reference to Beyoncé’s 2013 hit “Drunk In Love”, when she sings, “Love it when you turn me on / Yoncé with a little bit of / Love drunk in the middle with it / Get down to our favourite song.”

“Woman Like Me” was originally written by singer Jess Glynne, along with Ed Sheeran and producer Steve Mac, and was intended for Glynne’s new album but the “Hold My Hand” singer gave it to Little Mix instead.

“The feeling of releasing new music for you never gets old,” Little Mix tweeted their fans on Thursday.

The popular British girl group rose to prominence on “The X Factor UK” in 2011, when they once covered Minaj’s song “Super Bass”, and have since released four platinum-selling albums. Their last album, Glory Days, dropped in 2016.

Minaj released her new album, Queen, back in August, it reached number 2 on the US Billboard 200.
