Big news announced today for fans of Showcase’s Outlander, with producers revealing they’ve cast the pivotal role of the daughter of Claire (Catriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan).
Sophie Skelton of “Foyle’s War”; will play Brianna, the striking strong-minded redhead child of the lead characters, in the Golden Globe Award-nominated series. She is described as intelligent beyond her years, inherited from her dear old mom and dad.

Skelton joins the previously announced Richard Rankin, who is set to play Roger Wakefield, the adult version of Reverend Wakefield’s son.
The highly anticipated second season premieres on Showcase in April 2016.
