Louis C.K. is continuing his comedy comeback following sexual harassment allegations that emerged last year.
The comedian performed a set at the West Side Comedy Club in New York on Oct. 10, and the comedy news sit Laugh Spin reported on some of what he said.
One comedian on the night’s line-up told the website, “He said he’s been to hell and back.”
“It’s like he didn’t even skip a beat with the year he had,” said the evening’s host, comedian AMarie Castillo. “He was so genuine and reflected on how weird his year was, tried out some new dark and dirty material… Sounds to me he is owning up, acknowledging, and trying to figure it out.”
C.K. also reportedly told the audience “I lost $35 million in an hour,” over the allegations against him.
The comedian also described being booed and being told by random people on the street that they hate him.
Last year, in the wake of the #MeToo movement, C.K. was accused of exposing and pleasuring himself in front of women without their consent.
