‘Riverdale’ Cheerleaders Perform ‘Jailhouse Rock’ For Archie Behind Bars

“Riverdale” returned with its third twisted season last week, and a sneak peek at this week’s episode serves up a musical homage to no less than the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

With Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) behind bars, Veronica (Camila Mendes), Josie (Ashleigh Murray), Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and the rest of the River Vixens grab their pom-poms and head to the slammer, where they perform a sizzling-hot, cheerleader-style rendition of Elvis Presley’s “Jailhouse Rock” to cheer him up.

ET Canada caught up with Apa and co-star Lili Reinhart — who plays Betty — to discuss how the characters’ relationships will change and evolve in the new season, which will include the upcoming appearance of Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) mother, Gladys, who’ll be played by Gina Gershon. Watch:
