Appearing alongside Royal Flying Doctor Service representative Ruth Sandow on a stop during his trip to Australia with Meghan Markle, the royal took a moment to shoo away some flies bothering them.

In the clip featured on 7 News Sydney, Sandow says, “The flies are friendly in Dubbo,” which prompted Harry to forcefully step forward and wave his hands around dramatically, making everyone around him break into laughter.

According to People, the move is colloquially known as the “Aussie salute,” or “Barcoo salute” in reference to the Barcoo River, due to the constant swatting away of bush flies in Australia.
