Kim Kardashian is firing back at haters after a recent photo she posted on Instagram stirred up controversy.
In the pic, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star is out for a walk with two-year-old son Saint while carrying nine-month-old daughter Chicago.
“Missing my babies,” wrote Kardashian, 37, who’s currently visiting Uganda with husband Kanye West and their first child, five-year-old daughter North.
Rather than comment on the obvious cuteness of the kids, commenters were quick to point out that Saint is pictured sucking on a pacifier. This led to many people taking her to task for allowing her son to continue using a pacifier (conventional wisdom says that children should be weaned off pacifiers between the ages of six months and one year).
Kardashian, however, was having none of the mommy-shaming, and amended the caption:
As anyone who’s ever gone to a dentist can attest, that did not make things better. Instead of criticizing her for the pacifier, commenters shifted gears to blast her for allowing a two-year-old to eat candy.
“Well candy is even worse tf,” one of her followers wrote, while another one pointed out that “Candy’s bad too Kim.”
Kim isn’t the only Kardashian sibling to encounter the cruel sting of mommy shaming on social media. Back in July, sis Kourtney was slammed by fans when she posted a bikini-clad photo of herself on a yacht, which elicited several comments asking where her children were.
“My son was taking the photo, and the other two were sitting across from me,” was her chilly response. “Thank you so much for your concern.”
