Drake surprised fans by releasing a new track from his upcoming album Views From the 6, dropping the track on his Beats 1 Ovo Sound Show on Saturday night.
Titled “Summer Sixteen,”; Drizzy doesn’t hold back in the track, reigniting his feud with Meek Mill by apparently taking direct aim.

“I let the diss record drop, you were standing right below me, n***a / We must have played it a hundred times, you was going to bed,”; Drake says in the song. “Why would I put on a vest I expect you to aim for the head / I coulda killed you the first time / You don’t have to try and say it louder n***a / Trust, we heard you the first time.”;
Meek Mill isn’t Drake’s only target, with “Summer Sixteen”; also referencing Kanye West (he declares he has a bigger swimming pool than Yeezy) — and even President Obama (who chose Kendrick Lamar over Drake when asked which of the two would win a rap battle).
“Tell Obama that my verses are just like the whips that he in / They bulletproof,”; he says.

Of Kanye, Drake says: “I used to want to be on Roc-A-Fella / Then I turned into Jay / Now I got a house in L.A., now I got a bigger pool than Ye / And look man, Ye’s pool is nice / Mine’s just bigger what I’m saying.”;
“Summer Sixteen”; is available to purchase on iTunes; A View From a 6 is scheduled to be released in April.

Meanwhile, Meek Mill has already issued his response, a new track called “War Pain”; that he released on his Soundcloud account.
How did he manage to get his response out so fast? In an Instagram post, Meek Mill says that “the ghost writer told me,”; which refers to t Quentin Miller, the guy Meek accused of being Drake’s ghostwriter on several tracks (which launched the feud in the first place) informed him of Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” lyrics ahead of its release.

In his response song, Meek Mill threatens to rob Drake and raps, “With your lil memes, I be with the real queen” (a.k.a. Nicki Minaj) and then boasts that he robbed Drake in his hometown of Toronto: “DC4 on the way, that’s n***a’s due date / Robbed you in your city and you told / Tory from the 6, you hatin’ on him, Lord knows / Culture vulture, now it’s time to pay the tolls.”
