Bruce Dern Released From Hospital After Fall While Jogging, Is In ‘Incredibly Good Spirits’

Bruce Dern is reportedly recovering from an accident, with a source indicating the 82-year-old Oscar nominee probably took a tumble while out for a jog.

“He’s an avid jogger. He jogs every single day and this was likely a fall while jogging,” a source tells People.

While the extent of Dern’s injuries aren’t known, a rep tells Page Six that the star of such films as “The Hateful Eight” and “Nebraska” was released from a Los Angeles hospital on Friday after falling earlier that day.

“[The injury] is probably a broken hip,” the source adds. “He’s in incredibly good spirits.”

According to Dern’s rep, the actor — who is the father of “Big Little Lies” star Laura Dern — recently completed filming his role in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, taking over the part in which Burt Reynolds (who passed away last month) had originally been cast.
