Oasis co-founder Liam Gallagher has some issues with Radiohead, and he decided to share them on social media in a series of tweets about the Thom Yorke-led band.
Calling the group “radio play” and goofing on songs “Planet Telex” and “Karma Police” (which he mocked as “Planet tickle” and “Karma police ffs”), Gallagher asks, “how the f**k did these teds get big?”
It’s unclear exactly what set Gallagher off, but he’s clearly not a fan of the Brit band and its introspective, moody hits such as “Creep” and “Street Spirit”.
This isn’t the first time that Gallagher has publicly trashed Radiohead. In a 2011 interview with The Quietus, he slammed their album “King of Limbs”.
“I heard that f**king Radiohead record and I just go, ‘What?!’ I like to think that what we do, we do f**king well. Them writing a song about a f**king tree? Give me a f**king break! A thousand-year-old tree? Go f**k yourself!”
In fact, both Liam and estranged brother Noel Gallagher have bashed Radiohead for years. Way back in 2007 Noel remarked that, unlike Yorke and his bandmates, “I never went to f**king university. I don’t know what a paint brush is; I never went to art school.”
In a post on Radiohead’s website, Yorke responded: “I did. It taught me to respect other artists.”
