Robin Wright Wanted Stephen Colbert To Be Press Secretary On ‘House Of Cards’

Robin Wright had the perfect role in mind for Stephen Colbert on “House of Cards”.

The actress appeared on Friday’s episode of Global‘s “The Late Show” ahead of the Netflix show’s sixth and final season.

Wright, 52, revealed that she and the “House of Cards” crew had wanted Colbert to appear on the popular political thriller. “Did I say no?” Colbert asked. “I take it back if I said no. I say yes.” Colbert did reveal he “won’t audition” for a part but would gladly accept a role if it were offered to him.

“Wouldn’t it be great if you were the press secretary for Claire?” Foy asked the audience. “How great would that be with his humour?”

The final six episodes of “House of Cards” premieres globally on Netflix on Nov. 2.
