Meghan Markle is taking a much-needed me-day.

The Duchess of Sussex, whose pregnancy was recently announced, pulled out of her first engagement in Sydney on Saturday.

Markle, 37, was expected to award medals side-by-side Prince Harry to winning cyclists at the Invictus Games. The pregnant Duchess opted to instead rest at Admiralty House.

She is still expected to join Harry at an official lunch reception thrown by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at The Pavilion Restaurant in The Domain park.

The Duke and Duchess schedule was altered on the fly because organizers were not aware of Markle’s pregnancy when booking their royal tour.

“The Duke will attend the cycling as scheduled this morning, and the Duchess will join him for this afternoon’s engagements,’ Kensington Palace told MailOnline. “The Duke will continue with the engagements on Fraser Island as planned.”

A source allegedly told the outlet Markle was not feeling ill. It was simply determined she should pace herself considering her numerous upcoming engagements.
