The actress who portrayed a lap-dancing Melania Trump in a controversial video from rapper T.I. is being harassed online by haters who found the whole thing disrespectful to the First Lady of the United States, revealing she’s even received violent death threats.
The video (which was branded “disgusting” by the First Lady’s rep) is T.I.’s satirical response to Kanye West’s visit to the White House, featuring Toronto-born actress Melanie Marden entering the Oval Office in the infamous “I Don’t Really Care Do U?” jacket, which she peels off to reveal she’s wearing nothing underneath. The lookalike then proceeds to perform some sexy stripper-style moves atop the Resolute Desk as T.I. watches, smoking a cigar.

Now I’ve been extremely patient and made it a point to not jump to any premature conclusions about Ye’& his antics… Partially due to the lessons learned from the outcome of other similar situations dealing wit my brother Wayne (which I admittedly mishandled a bit in hindsight) But now this shit is next level, futuristic Sambo,Hopping Bob, Stephen off Django ass shit Ye!!!! From what I can gather… This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, Embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen. Now I recall you asking me to come with you to have this meeting and I declined (naturally)… but bro… if ain’time I would’ve been in there wit you and you behaved that spinelessly in my presence,I feel that I’d be compelled to slap de’Fuq outta you bro For the People!!! You ass kissing and boot licking on a whole new level &I refuse to associate myself with something so vile, weak,& inconsiderate to the effect this has on the greater good of ALL OUR PEOPLE!!!! I’m a true believer in “It ain’t what you do,it’s how you do it.” And this shit is regurgitating🤮! At one time it was a pleasure to work alongside you… now, I’m ashamed to have ever been associated with you. To all the people who follow Ye musically, socially, or even personally….who are confused, heartbroken, infuriated…. Let me make this clear… THIS SHIT AINT COOL!!! THIS IS A MOVE YE MADE FOR YE!!! THIS IS A PLAY TO PUT HIM IN A POSITION HE’D LIKE TO SEE HIMSELF IN…WE ARE NOT ON HIS MIND AS HE MAKES THESE COMMENTS AND DECISIONS. Don’t follow this puppet. Because as long as I’ve lived I’ve learned that it benefits a man nothing at all to gain the world,if to do so he must lose his soul. We just saw Mr.West’s Soul on auction. If you listen closely you can hear the tears of our ancestors hit the floor. All I can say is… I’ve reached my limits. This is my stop,I’m officially DONE!!!! 🖕🏽Trump & His Lil Cookie Boy. #USorELSE✊🏽
In an interview with “Inside Edition”, Marden discusses the ugly response she’s received on social media, including death threats.
“Somebody was going to hit me with their car,” she explains, listing the various threats she’s received. “Somebody’s going to take a baseball bat to me. Somebody wished me to get raped and then killed.”
Marden insists her intention was not to make a political statement. “It was an opportunity for me to step right outside my comfort zone and play the First Lady, naked, which I’d never done before,” she says. “And I was brave and I took this on.”
Responding to the outrage, Marden is quick to point out the hypocrisy coming from Trump supporters. “Listen, the First Lady’s husband does a lot of bullying himself,” she says. “If I was insulting her or degrading her, then it would be one thing. But I don’t think I was.”
Speaking with TMZ, Marden says she feels it’s “unbelievable that people take this so seriously… it’s surprising that people have this much time to focus on somebody who took an acting job versus, where’s the cure for cancer?”
She also had some choice words for the First Lady’s spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, who slammed T.I.’s video in a tweet.
“I’m surprised the lady who works with the First Lady has the time to comment on rap videos. That’s sad,” says Marden.
Previously, Marden shared her feelings about becoming the target of T.I.-hating Trump supporters in a lengthy Instagram message.
“To all the political people threatening me, I remind you this is a music video, relax. I am an actress who played the role of #nakedMelania just like when @alecbaldwininsta portrays Trump on ‘SNL’,” she wrote.

Do you ❤️ Wow, I don’t usually post about haters but I need to, wow!!! This weekend I experienced this with my latest post of TI’s @troubleman31 new teaser of his music video – where I was hired (as an actress) not a stripper to portray Melania Trump @flotus It was a creative choice for me, and also an opportunity to empower women. I stand firmly in my decision to share all of myself in this role. I wanted to be brave, be fearless and for the first time in my life do a role that required nudity. The body is nothing to be ashamed of. In this time where women are finally speaking up about being victimized I felt good about being a strong enough woman to portray a nude First Lady. It was a hard decision for me but I’m proud of myself for being so brave. I send love to all the people who called me names and made accusations or delivered hurtful insults. These are clearly deep wounds inside of you. That have nothing to do with me. For that I am sad and wish you much healing. 💞🙏 To all the political people threatening me, I remind you this is a music video ~ Relax! I am an actress who played the role of #nakedMelania just like when @alecbaldwininsta Portrays Trump on @nbcsnl SNL. So now I start my week wishing you all the best and remember if you don’t have something nice to say, say nothing at all ❤️ Happy Monday. 🦋
