Following the pregnancy announcement from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has Prince Harry just revealed his hopes for the baby’s gender?
It sure seems that way, according to a quick comment the prince made to a fan during the couple’s royal visit to Australia.
While attending a cycling event at the Invictus Games in Sydney on Sunday, a fan calls out to Harry, telling him that she hopes the baby “is a girl.”
In video of the moment posted on Instagram, Harry enthusiastically responds, “So do I!”
On Oct. 15, Kensington Palace confirmed that Harry and Meghan were expecting their first child.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” said a palace spokesperson in a statement.
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the statement continued. “The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted for the couple and were able to congratulate them on Friday at the wedding in person.”
