Channing Tatum channels a very different character in the new “Hail, Caesar!”; film, starring George Clooney. While the actor may not be showing off his “Magic Mike”; dance moves, there’s certainly no lack of tap dancing or singing.
People released a clip of Tatum starring in the film as Burt Gurney, the very good-looking, but not so bright song-and-dance man in Joel and Ethan Coen’s ode to the Golden Age of Hollywood.

“Burt is the kind of actor who has an outfit for everything,” Tatum says. “He has his eating-dinner outfit, his soul lives in his hair. I think he’s kind of a moron. A lot of the actors in this movie are portrayed as morons, which I think is hilarious.”
Burt’s musical number, “No Dames”;, in the film, required the actor to learn some tap dancing and appear singing for the first time ever on camera.
“I had to do flips and pull-ups, that stuff,” he adds. “It’s really, really fun.”
