Dave Grohl always makes sure his concerts are a family occasion.
The musician was performing with his band the Foo Fighters in St. Paul, Minn, on Thursday night when he spotted a 10-year-old boy named Owen in the crowd looking a little exhausted.
Grohl paused the show to ask that the boy be brought up on stage along with his parents, to have a seat while the band performed for them.
According to NME, the boy’s mother, Stacey Anderson, wrote a post about the experience on Facebook, saying, “Dave Grohl and all of the crew were incredibly kind to our family.”
“Owen is in fact blind, he also has Autism, Crohn’s Disease and developmental disabilities,” Owen’s mother revealed. “Owen loves concerts so much. He was definitely not tired, he likes to be held up front at most shows and we take turns holdiyhim (sic) up so he can dance.”
She continued, “We have taken Owen to close a 100 shows. It’s so fun and he brings out the best in so many people. Owen has a pretty huge story and has been through so much in his life already, we are just trying to give him the best life we can.”
