Jill Soloway and comedian Hannah Gadsby are an item, according to reports.
A source told Page Six that the “Transparent” creator and breakout star of the comedy special “Nanette” have been dating since the summer. ET Canada has reached out to Soloway and Gadsby’s reps for confirmation.
“Jill recently went to Australia to meet Hannah’s family,” the source is quoted as saying. “They don’t want people to know they are a couple. They are very private.”
The couple have been on the road, appearing together for talks on the promotional tour for Soloway’s new memoir, She Wants It: Desire, Power, and Toppling the Patriarchy.
At a recent TimesTalk, Soloway recounted sending Gadsby an email while on the hunt for “queer, intersectional, interesting” people to talk about writing, and later saw “Nanette”, which blew her away.
“We had breakfast the next morning… and became friends after that,” Soloway said. “We realized, yes, we both have a lot of things in common that we like to talk about that generally annoy other people.”
In 2015, Soloway separated from their husband Bruce Gilbert, with whom she has one son. Soloway also has a son with artist John Strozier.
Soloway later dated poet Eileen Myles.
