UPDATE: Monday, February 1 (10:04 p.m. ET)  – After revealing that she would be retiring from her modelling career, Cindy Crawford has apparently had second thoughts about retirement.

Taking to Instagram in a lengthy post, Crawford, 49, states that every year she tells her kids she plans to retire, but then an exciting opportunity comes along that makes her second guess her decision.

As a result, until further notice she is “not making any final statements.”;

After an extraordinary run as one of the world’s most-photographed supermodels, Cindy Crawford has revealed that she’s retiring from modelling when she turns 50 — which will happen on February 20.

The fashion icon tells that she plans to retire from modeling this month after she celebrates her half-century birthday on Feb. 20.

“I’m sure I’ll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore,” Crawford tells United Airlines’ Rhapsody magazine. “And that’s OK. I’ve done it. I’ve worked with all these incredible photographers.”;

She adds: “What else do I need to do? I can’t keep reinventing myself. I shouldn’t have to keep proving myself. I don’t want to.”
