Ryan Reynolds is known for his witty Twitter comebacks and his latest does not disappoint.
Reynolds turned 42 on Tuesday and was bombarded with birthday messages, one of which was from Hugh Jackman.
“Deadpool” fans will be aware that the character is not a big fan of “Wolverine”, played by Jackman, and Reynolds wasted no time in re-igniting that feud in his social media response.
Jackman shared a snap of the pair hugging it out, before the Canadian star made a joke about the “Wolverine” look-alike, Milverine, from Milwaukee.
Jackman and Reynolds have been embroiled in a Twitter feud for months now, with the pair taking jabs at one another with some playful banter.
Reynolds has also been attempting to convince Jackman to return to his role of “Wolverine” one last time for a “Deadpool” crossover flick despite the Aussie actor bidding farewell to the character in 2017’s “Logan”.
Reynolds previously told Entertainment Weekly: “I think convincing Hugh of that would be a near-impossible feat but there’s no human being I love more than Hugh Jackman in that universe, and equally so, as a friend. He’s just the best.
“I already miss him as ‘Logan’, so I’m one of those guys that whenever I see him, I’m like, ‘Come on, man. Just one more. Come on. We’ll do it together. It’ll be fun. Come on! On three. Here we go, together. One, two, three, together,’ and it’s always just me saying it.”
