The first trailer for the film, which debuts on Netflix and in select theatres Dec. 21, opens with a terrifying sequence in which a blindfolded Bullock is out in the woods screaming, “Please don’t take my children!”

Things then flash back to Bullock pregnant in the hospital with twins before things start to get very, very strange. People start doing things to injure themselves and causing destruction all around.

We soon jump forward several years to find most of the world’s population wiped out by mysterious creatures that cause a person to take their own life when they look at them, forcing people to board up windows and wear blindfolds outside.
