Sean “Diddy” Combs insisted he wasn’t scared of clowns on Thursday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” but that proved not to be the case as the host played a hilarious prank on him.
The 48-year-old treated DeGeneres, 60, to a glass of his new CIROC Black Raspberry vodka on the show, with the presenter quizzing him on the things that scare him.
However, when she brought up why he’s not afraid of clowns, Diddy insisted: “Because I’m a black man. I have so many other things to be fearful of, a clown is not gonna scare me. I’m not afraid of clowns.”
A clown then launched itself out of the box beside him, terrifying Diddy and sending him screaming and dancing around the stage.
Despite the scare, Diddy got his own back on DeGeneres in the end as he unveiled his epic “It”-inspired Halloween clown costume on Twitter a week later.
Last Thursday’s “Ellen” appearance also saw the rapper discuss the inspiration behind his new flavoured vodka, with DeGeneres calling him out on why she wasn’t one of the first names on the list to be sent a bottle.
The longtime education advocate then spoke about the third location of Capital Preparatory Schools he is opening in the Bronx for at-risk youth, before DeGeneres surprised him with a cheque for $50,000.
