Sofia Vergara is one of TV’s funniest actresses and it’s no surprise that she tops the list of the highest paid TV stars in Hollywood.
The “Modern Family” actress earned a remarkable $42.5 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018, according to Forbes‘ annual list. Vergara earns a pretty penny from her role on the comedy, but endorsements with companies like coffee maker SharkNinja Coffee and furniture chain Rooms To Go have her nearly doubling the list’s second highest-earner.
Kaley Cuoco earned 95 per cent of her $24.5 million annual income for her work on “Big Bang Theory”. Earning a massive $900,000 per episode, Cuoco’s salary will no doubt diminish once the hit TV show has its final episode.
Third on the list, Ellen Pompeo ($23.5 million) is the only other name on the ranking to clear $20 million. The “Grey’s Anatomy” star negotiated herself a big chunk of the show’s profits now that the program is in its 15th season.
Rounding out the top five is Mariska Hargitay ($13 million) and Julie Bowen ($12.5 million). Both the “Law & Order: SVU” actress and Vergara’s “Modern Family” co-star made all their earnings on the small screen.
All-in-all, the world’s 10 highest-paid TV actresses earned a combined $168.5 million in 12 months. Check in with Forbes for the rest of the top 10.
