Carey Mulligan spoke about attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding as she appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday.
The 33-year-old and her husband Marcus Mumford, 31, were among an array of A-list guests at the May 19 ceremony at Windsor Castle. Although the whole thing seemed to happen rather quickly on television, Mulligan admitted it was a whole different story for attendees seated in the church.
Insisting she and Mumford are “friends” with Harry and Meghan, the actress then said of the service: “It was like a 2-hour wait. It was lovely and atmospheric and beautiful, but kind of a long time.”
Mulligan went on to explain how her other half tried to give her a kiss before the ceremony, however, she batted him away.
Despite the musician insisting they wouldn’t be caught on camera because there were so many celebs like George Clooney and Sir Elton John there, a clip of Mumford yawning ended up doing its rounds online.
Mulligan joked: “It [the ceremony] finishes and we’re allowed to turn our phones back on. We have like 15,000 messages going, ‘Marcus you yawned on TV!'”
The star’s appearance on the show also saw her admit to failing her driving test five times, as well as revealing the worst review she’s ever received.
