Jenelle Evans is setting the record straight after a 911 call earlier this month in which she told police that she had been assaulted by her husband David Eason.
The 26-year-old “Teen Mom 2″ star assured fans on YouTube Thursday that Eason did not abuse her in any way.
“I know everyone’s concerned about me, and I know everyone wants to know, ‘Is she okay? How are the kids? Blah blah blah,’” she said. “Everything’s fine. You know, I’ve been in so many domestic violence situations in the past that I would not put up with it now. So I don’t know why you guys would think that I would continue to stay in this relationship if I was being abused.”
Evans continued, noting that in the past her followers have often doubted she was actually abused by a partner.
“I was always telling you the truth, about everything that happened with every one of my relationships,” she said. “And if you don’t believe me, I don’t know what the f**k to tell you, I really don’t. It’s at the point now where I’ve been an open book since Day 1. I’ve always been an open book to every single one of my fans and my haters. Whether you guys hate it, whether you guys like it, I’m just like, ‘F**k it, I’m just going to air it anyway.’”
On October 13, Evans placed a call to 911 in Columbus County, North Carolina, alleging assault. Two officers arrived at the scene. She was later transported to hospital by private vehicle; an ambulance had been requested but later cancelled.
A rep for Evans later stated that she had tripped and fallen.
In an interview with E! News last week, Evans said that the assault allegation was “a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding. Everything is great… We are totally fine,” and that she would be “taking time off social media… time to focus on ourselves and our family.”
In the days after the incident, Evans posed for a photo with Eason and daughter Ensley Jolie on his Instagram account, which he captioned, “We have never been happier, thanks for asking!”
