Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum are taking the next step in their split.
The former “World of Dance” host has filed for divorce from the “21 Jump Street” and “22 Jump Street” actor, according to documents obtained by The Blast.
The divorce documents were filed in Los Angeles and Dewan’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. Dewan also asked for child support and spousal support from Tatum, having her last name restored from “Dewan Tatum” to “Dewan,” and joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Everly, 5.
Tatum also requested joint physical and legal custody of Everly.
Dewan, 37, and Tatum, 38, announced their split in early April after nine years of marriage. “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together,” they wrote on social media.
“Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now,” the ex-couple continued. “There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other life the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”
