Jimmy Fallon got two guests for the price of one when he welcomed Whoopi Goldberg to “The Tonight Show” on Friday, when his interview with the moderator of “The View” was crashed by none other than Tiffany Haddish.
Before making an unannounced appearance, the “Girls Trip” comedian, who is co-starring with Goldberg in Tyler Perry’s upcoming big-screen comedy “Nobody’s Fool”, was featured in a clip, discussing how important the Oscar-winning “Ghost” star has been throughout her life.
“Since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of Whoopi Goldberg being my mama,” Haddish said in the clip. “And then like two weeks before we started filming [Perry] tells me that Whoopi Goldberg is going to to be my mama.”
Haddish then became emotional, tearing up as she said, “God you’ve been listening to me all these years! You go through so many things in life and you just, you be having these dreams and you just really want them to come true.”
“Come on, how great is Tiffany Haddish?” said Fallon after the clip ended and the audience applauded.
Suddenly, Haddish burst onto the stage, wearing the same sequined blue dress that Goldberg wore in her 1986 film “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”.
“The last time I wore this dress, a shredder ate it,” Goldberg quipped once she realized what Haddish was wearing. “And you’ve knitted it all back together. Look how brilliant you are.”
Haddish, however, revealed an ulterior motive for her attire. “I wore this dress because I want us to do ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash 2′,” she explained.
“Don’t you wanna do ‘Sister Act 3’ first?” joked Goldberg in response.
Earlier in the show, Fallon modelled a garish Christmas sweater from Goldberg’s line of holiday sweaters. Watch:
