Kanye West Designs ‘Blexit’ Shirts Encouraging Black Voters To Leave The Democratic Party

Kanye West’s Oval Office meeting with President Trump has apparently spurred the “Yeezus” rapper to embrace the “Blexit” movement, lending his fashion skills to design merchandise intended to encourage black voters to leave the Democratic party

The movement is spearheaded by black conservative commentator Candace Owens, who has garnered controversy for her pro-Trump stance and fervent criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement.

In an interview with right-wing news site Breitbart, Owens revealed how West was drawn to the Blexit movement.

“Me and Kanye had been in constant contact for months. I showed him the Blexit design that I had started to create,” Owens explained. “He paused for what felt like 10 excruciating minutes, looked at me, smiled, and said, ‘You know the greatest designer of all time and you didn’t ask me for help?’”

As a result, she invited West to contribute to the design of the logo. “Like me, Kanye felt like something was missing from the design,” Owens added. “The man is a creative force of nature. And just like that, the next thing I knew, I was on a plane flying from Philadelphia to Africa.”

“The Blexit design reflects the deep-seated humanity and harmony we felt in Uganda,” Owens explained. “It’s that humanity you see in the artwork. The bodies represent us all bending and binding together as a people to bring healing to our communities and real lasting change. That’s what this movement represents. That’s what was missing from the logo. That’s what we found in Africa.”

Owens debuted the new Yeezy-designed merchandise on Saturday at a political event in Washington, D.C.; West was not in attendance.

“Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colours, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West,” said Owens, as reported by Page Six.

The outspoken rapper, she added, “has taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we have needed to have.”

According to Owens, she has big plans for Blexit. “The Blexit movement will spend 2019 holding rallies in every major city in America that the Democrats have destroyed,” she said.

According to the Blexit website, the movement “is frequency for those who have released themselves from the political orthodoxy. It is a rebellion led by Americans wishing to disrupt the simulation of fear. Blexit is a renaissance. It is our formal declaration of independence.”
