Meryl Streep is joining the “coven” of “Big Little Lies”, but there will also be some more surprise stars in the next season of the hit HBO series.
Appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Nicole Kidman reveals that her two young daughters are set to cameo in season 2 of “Big Little Lies”.
When DeGeneres suggests that they can’t watch the show because they’re too young, Kidman says, “But they were in as extras.”
Kidman also talks about catching a huge tarantula in her backyard and showing it to the world on Instagram.
“It was so strong, you couldn’t believe the power of it,” she says. “When I first put the glass over it, it tipped it over.”
Later in the show, Kidman is joined by her “Boy Erased” co-star Lucas Hedges, who speaks about his comments on his own sexuality.
“In sixth grade I had a health teacher who presented the idea of sexuality existing on a spectrum,” he explains. “It’s not really that you exist 100 per cent one thing or 100 per cent the other, and from that moment on I always identified myself as existing within that spectrum. I see it as something that’s more fluid, that’s not black and white.”
DeGeneres jokes, “I’m confused whenever I’m around Ryan Reynolds.”
The two actors are also joined by their other co-star in the film, singer Troye Sivan, for a game of “Stuff Your Granny Panties” in which they have to fill giant “panties” with inflated balls.
Finally, Sivan performs his gorgeous theme song “Revelation” from “Boy Erased” for the audience.
