Just in time for Halloween, a never-before-seen music video for “A Nightmare on My Street” has re-emerged online 30 years later.

Performed by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (who is these days better known as Will Smith), the “Nightmare on Elm Street”-inspired song and accompanying video were thought to have been destroyed after New Line Cinema sued their record label, BMG. The duo’s legal team argued that the song was just a parody, but the decision was ultimately made to shelve both the song and the video.

The track was originally intended to appear on the soundtrack for “A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master” until New Line Cinema ditched the tune altogether.

Now, people can thank a YouTube user who happened to come across a version of the video and posted in online.

Although the quality is low and the shots are quite shaky, the music video can now be experienced in its entirety for “Nightmare on Elm Street” fans to this Halloween.
