Alex Trebek Signs On To ‘Jeopardy!’ Through 2022 Despite Departure Rumours

Alex Trebek will stick with “Jeopardy!” for at least a few more years.

The face of “Jeopardy!” has signed a contract extension with Sony Pictures TV (SPT) until through the 2021-2022 season. “Wheel of Fortune” stars Pat Sajak and Vanna White have also renewed their contracts.

“Pat, Vanna and Alex are simply the best. Night after night, they seamlessly entertain generations of fans on two of the most beloved television programs on air,” SPT chairman Mike Hopkins said in a statement published by Deadline. “We are thrilled that they’ll continue to do so through 2022.”

Earlier this year, Trebek told “OBJECTified” there was a good chance he would leave the staple television game show in 2020.

The Canadian-American television personality has hosted “Jeopardy!” since 1984.
