Red Hot Chili Peppers Perform Surprise High School Halloween Concert

Please, please let there have been a group of rambunctious teens dressed as the Red Hot Chili Peppers at this high school.

The band showed up in full Halloween costumes to boot. Kiedis wore shorts and a mask, Smith combined a Guy Fawkes mask with a Pope outfit. Flea, meanwhile, wore a skeleton body suit and Josh Klinghoffer wore a green wig and sunglasses.

How exactly did a high school score the services of the three-time Grammy-winning band? Well, drummer Chad Smith’s children attend the school. “Who rocks out at 9:30am at my kids’ school?” Smith tweeted. “We do!”

Members of the Twitterverse who were in attendance for the concert reacted with excitement, disbelief, and a sense of humour.

Fortunately, Wednesday’s appearance went much better for Anthony Kiedis than his recent outing to a Laker games.
