The scariest thing this Halloween, if true, might just be this story.
Disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl back in 2002. An unidentified woman has filed a civil suit against Weinstein over an alleged business meeting gone wrong, according to Page Six.
The unnamed Polish model and Weinstein were supposed to attend a business lunch together, per court documents, but Weinstein instead took her to his apartment.
“Weinstein wasted no time in aggressively and threateningly demanding sex,” the suit alleged. “Weinstein threatened and pressured Jane Doe, saying that he had ‘made’ the careers of Penelope Cruz and Gwyneth Paltrow and that neither would be working without him.”
“He then took off his pants and forcibly held Jane Doe while taking her hand and making her touch and massage his penis,” the lawyer added. The terrified teen refused Weinstein’s alleged advances and was eventually permitted to leave. The mogul reportedly knew the alleged victim was 16.
Weinstein’s attorney refuted the claims in a statement to TMZ. “This claim is preposterous,” Ben Brafman asserted. “Like so many other women in this case who have already been exposed as liars, this latest completely uncorroborated allegation that is almost 20 years old will also be shown to be patently false.”
Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 80 women since last October and he was arrested in New York, charged with rape and other offences on May 25.
